A daily post of Happy.
Day 5: "A kiss of the sun for pardon, the song of the bird for mirth. One's nearer God's heart in a garden than anywhere else on earth." My Gumpo P was an avid gardener. I was afforded the privilege of cutting their lawn when I was a teenager, and he had that little poem on a black metal placard front and centre of his beautiful front garden. I must have read it a thousand times as I cut the lawn over the years (twice over each time to ensure that each blade of grass was perfectly aligned, his request). My own yard looks nothing like his, but I'm trying. We'll get there. Today, my garden is my happy. #100happydays A photo posted by @kaileyjane82 on Jul 7, 2014 at 4:25pm PDT
