Day 81

Day 81: Today's happy is about secrets. I love a good secret, and I'm a very reliable secret keeper. I like reading about other people's secrets on the weekly blog "PostSecret" too. If you are unfamiliar with PostSecret, the short version is that it's a safe place to share secrets anonymously. People create homemade postcards with their secrets and mail them to Frank Warren, who selects about 20 to share every week. Recently I was put on to a digital version of this kind of concept through an app called "Whisper". It's a lot of fun! You can read all kinds of secrets both from around the globe, and ones near to where you are too. I've posted a few and have had some very interesting responses, and even struck up a couple of conversations with perfect strangers who saw something of themselves in what I posted. I don't know them, they don't know me, but it is quite heartening to know that there are others who might share the same or a similar secret as I do. I'm not going to tell you my secrets or share what I've posted there as that would defeat the purpose of the anonymity. But I do recommend the app if for nothing more than a laugh. Today, Whisper made me pretty happy. #100happydays
