Day 143

Day 143: I thought I'd best get this in early today as our choir performs again tonight, and afterwards is the obligatory socializing and merriment and I know I won't feel like posting afterwards. Today's post is about baking. Christmas baking, specifically. I get SUCH a kick out of it. In truth, there are fewer activities I enjoy more than baking, and baking at Christmas is sort of the Super Bowl. I love the whole process: picking out the delicious ingredients, carefully working through the recipe, and of course enjoying the final results. If I could somehow work it that I could quit my job and survive on just baking for a living, I would in a moment. Today's efforts included decorating yesterday's gingerbread, chocolate macaroons and monster cookies. I'd like to get one more thing crossed off the list before the show tonight so I may go for the Reese thumbprint cookies. Or maybe Michelle's peanut butter chocolate chip cookies (the ones she would bring over to Grammys house and they'd barely make it from the front door to the kitchen before they were gone haha). Gosh I love this time of year. #getyourfatpantsout #365happydays
