Day 138: What you are seeing in this photo is a snippet of the spoils of spending the day with Auntie K. I am an aunt to four beautiful kidlets, none of whom live terribly near me. Any time I'm able spend with them is very precious to me, and today I got the monopoly on two of them by playing babysitter so my sister and brother-in-law could celebrate their anniversary. I drove down to their city yesterday afternoon (hence the karaoke party), and P, H and myself started the fun bright and early this morning. We watched many many movies on YouTube and Netflix (including some old classics like "The Raccoons Christmas" and "Muppet Family Christmas"), we went to "Old Macdonalds" (McDonalds) for lunch, we played for nearly 3 hours in the Playland, and then we went to the mall for stuffies and ice cream (loaded with sprinkles, naturally). What a day! As much as the little ones may have had fun, I think that I really came out the winner here. There is nothing more melodious to me than the excited shout of "Auntie K! Auntie K!" when I arrive for a visit. Being so far away from all of them, I'm in constant fear that they will forget me. I really must make a better effort to make sure I'm on their radar as they grow up. These short years are so very precious. Today though, those little kidlets sure made their auntie happy. #365happydays
